How to Make Money Writing Long Articles on Your Blog
One of the greatest secrets to SEO is the ability to understand how to make money writing long articles on your blog. For a long time people have been trying to grasp and formulate how Google determines page rank and search engine ranking places. They have tried to break down each piece of search engine optimization and design a strategy to fool the search engines into giving them the top rank.
Not everyone does this however, most bloggers write for their readers as they should but internet marketers with blogs usually write for both the readers and the search engines.There are a million blogs and websites out there and what makes one website better than another in Google’s viewpoint is extremely hard to understand. If you’re like me and you want to get paid for your opinions one of the best ways to generate the traffic to make that a reality is to focus on your internet marketing and search engine optimization.
I have suspicions that Google takes several factors into account and I don’t want to bore you with the details but to break it down, there are things to consider link backlinks, the most valuable having anchor text relating to the subject of your website or blog.
There are also things like header text, keywords, and meta tags that come into play when you are serving up Google Adsense advertisements. Obviously the system needs to read the content you are running on the site and cater what it thinks will be the best match in regard to attracting your audience.
Let’s say I decide to write an article about Cessna Private Jets… There are several ways I could go with an article like this, if I wanted to I could spend the entire time describing the different features and amenities that the jet had, things like leather seats, DVD players, and on-board video games. Whatever the features may be, I could describe them in detail and maybe go on to discuss the pricing strategy that the company has and compare the advantages and disadvantages of buying new or used.
The point is, I may spend a lot of time writing about the details and forget to mention Cessna Private Jets more than once. This will make the Google AdSense ads very confused and they may decide to serve up ads about DVD players or video games when your reader was truly interested in knowing more about private jets.
It all boils down to the fact that if we want to know how to make money writing long articles on your blog, you need to understand that the more you focus on keywords and provide quality content at length the better you will do.
There are websites that have over a million backlinks that are outranked by sites that only have a few thousand. The only explanation is that those websites that have a higher ranking probably offer more quality content that is keyword targeted to their niche.
Try your best to incorporate your main keywords in every article and if you can throw in a few secondary keywords as well. For instance one of my secondary keywords relates to how to get paid for your opinions. I have incorporated that keyword phrase earlier in the article and its possible you may have passed right by it without noticing it was there.
All of these factors tie into the ultimate goal of telling Google what your website is about, what your article is about, what type of visitors you would like to attract. It is a machine and we are human beings so it’s almost like we need to develop a new language just to engage with this artificial entity and tell it what we want. More than that we need to try our best to develop strategic partners and network with other bloggers that can help us along the way.
Many of these bloggers I’m referring to offer a plugin called Keyword Luv. I have talked about the Keyword Luv plugin several times in the past but just to touch on it briefly, it is a tool that bloggers use to try to give other bloggers a leg up. Blogs that have the Keyword Luv plugin installed let you leave a comment with your niche keywords following your name.
This is a great gesture from one blogger to another because most blogs are originally set up with something called a no-follow tag. The no-follow attribute tells Google’s web spiders that the link to your site is not important, therefore Google will not follow the link to your site and give you more credit as an authority.
However sites using this plugin automatically turn your comments into do-follow links, which will provide you credit in regard to page rank. Ultimately this will increase the possibility that your target keywords will have more effect on Google’s search engine so that when people go to look for a particular topic, your website will be a little bit higher on the list.
At this point I have touched on several reasons why writing long articles on your blog will help you make money. I have also digressed several times into alternate useful topics that really should be marked as separate posts and expanded all for the sake of improving my own SEO and Page Rank.
Internet marketing is a science to many as well as an art form to others. Personally, I get a thrill out of seeing myself climb in regard to certain keywords and watching my progress in regard to sites as new keyword phrases get added and found when people search for a particular topic.
As a website owner or blog owner you are the architect of a digital domain so to speak. The castle is only as strong as the foundation it is built upon.
